Do you know what PMH-C stands for? It stands for Perinatal Mental Health Certificate. This means I am a mental health professional who specializes and am certified in working with moms during times of trying to conceive, fertility challenges, conception, pregnancy, loss, postpartum and anything else that falls under these categories. This also encompasses the mental health of the other care-taker in the family unit. Did you know it takes several years of experience, coursework and a national exam to get certified in specializing in working with the perinatal population?
This time of life is unique in many ways and can be beneficial working with someone who is trained and has the knowledge for what to look for and how to support you on this journey.
