My name is Maegan Winters, and I am a Marriage and Family Therapy Candidate (MFTC). I have experience working with a diverse range of clients, including individuals, couples, children, adolescents, and members of the LGBTQ+ community.
My primary goal as a therapist is to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space—one where you feel comfortable exploring your thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Within this space of trust, we’ll work together to process challenges, foster healing, and support personal growth. I also focus on helping clients strengthen communication skills and develop practical, effective coping strategies.
My therapeutic approach is grounded in humanistic and feminist perspectives, and I incorporate evidence-based modalities such as the Gottman Method, Collaborative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. I tailor each treatment plan to meet the unique needs and goals of each individual or couple I work with. My aim is to be an empowering, compassionate guide—someone who helps illuminate the path through life’s more difficult moments.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Alaska Anchorage, where I also met my husband. After spending 10 years in Alaska, we returned to my home state of Montana, where I was born and raised. Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy outdoor activities, traveling, and connecting with new people.
I look forward to the opportunity to meet and work with you.
